Start a comparison

Open a product page in a supported shop. BetterBuy detects product metadata and searches relevant shops. Use its toolbar button to open the panel, or browse the shop catalog to see which sites support automatic search and which offer manual lookup.

No product or price found?

Reload the product page after installing or updating the extension. Confirm that Chrome permits BetterBuy to access that site. Some shops render their data using scripts, block automated requests or omit usable product metadata. Use the shop’s manual-search link when an automatic comparison cannot complete.

A price looks old or incorrect

Other shops’ results are cached for up to 15 minutes. “Check again” refreshes those results; reload the current product page to refresh its own price. Verify the model, variant, warranty, stock and final total at the retailer. Displayed item prices exclude delivery and checkout-only discounts.

Control the panel

Close it with × or Escape and reopen it with the floating button. In the toolbar popup, turn off “Open the panel automatically” to keep it collapsed. Comparisons still run on detected products. Restrict site access in Chrome or disable the extension to stop comparisons.

Privacy

The first release has no ads, user accounts or AI calls. Product queries go directly to the shops involved in a comparison. Read the privacy policy for the exact data handling and permissions.
